Testing Procedure
All units are test and check for correct IOS, Licenses, Memory and restore back to factory default before push to inventory. Below are our testing procedure.
Visual Inspection (check for damages)
- Top cover
- Back of unit
- Side of unit
- Faceplate
- Mode Button
- Note down any damages or scratches
Boot device and plug in the console cable
- Make sure you can see boot status messages
- Check for error/fail/traceback messages
- If device fail to boot, see fail section
Cisco “Show commands”
- Show Version
- Display the IOS version is currently running
- Show Inventory
- Display system part number, serial number and hardware version
- Show Environment All
- Display fans and power supply status
- Show post (For Switch)
- Display what hardware are installed and their status
- If any hardware status fail, see fail section
- Show diagnostic (For Router)
- Display what hardware are installed
- Directory All
- Display all available directory
- Every unit must have Cisco default IOS version, default licenses and memory requirement
- Restore back to factory default
- Delete all VLAN if any
- Save all show commands
Test every Ethernet ports (data) with cross over cable and SFP ports with LC to LC fiber optic cable
- If any ports fail, see fail section
Test all ports for POE with our POE tester devices
Check every port for broken or damages
Fail
- No further testing
